The Best Tomatoes to Grow Where You Live

The Best Tomatoes to Grow Where You Live

Spring is just around the corner and as usual, I'm getting that itch to want to garden. As some of you know from my previous blogs and books, I'm an indoor gardener because I live in an apartment. What I've learned is that almost anything you can grow outside will grow in a pot. Some things require more sun than others and that means that the indoor gardener needs to be creative with light. Some people get all fancy and buy grow lights, but a regular florescent bulb strategically placed within a couple of inches of new seedlings works just as good. The bulb can be adjusted as the seedlings grow.

Some of the easiest plants to grow indoors are herbs and tomatoes. I'll admit that I did move my tomatoes outdoors as they grew bigger, but they started out in my home along with lettuce, strawberries, and peppers. When you grow in a pot, your fruit and vegetables will be a little smaller than their outdoor grown counterparts, but they are just as tasty! The article above discusses the best tomatoes for your region.

I discuss gardening a bit in some of my books which can be purchased at Lulu.com and for the month of February, you can purchase any of my books at a discount by entering the key word WINTERBOOK as your coupon code at checkout. This discount also goes for my latest book Fibro and Fabulous The Book.
